Our Mission
Different Not Lost is a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting individuals with autism and other special needs and their families. Our mission is to provide education, advocacy, trusted resources, community connections, and meaningful support that empower individuals and families to feel understood, included, supported, and never alone.
Our Story
Different Not Lost was born from my personal journey as an autism mom. I know firsthand the questions, challenges, emotions, and uncertainty that can come with raising and advocating for a child with autism. I also know how important it is to have people who understand, resources you can trust, and a community that reminds you that you are not alone. Through my own experiences, I saw the need for a place where individuals with autism and other special needs, parents, caregivers, and families could feel welcomed, understood, supported, and connected. That experience inspired me to create Different Not Lost. What began from my journey as a mother has grown into a mission to advocate, educate, connect families with resources, and build a community where differences are embraced and every individual is valued. Different does not mean lost—and no family should have to walk this journey alone.
